- Hair Loss/Balding
No Pain. No Surgery. No Plugs or Grafts.
A revolutionary new procedure, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is now available those suffering from hair loss. PRP Therapy is a natural hair restoration process utilizing platelets from a patient's own blood and delivering them directly to the problem area to regenerate and regrow lost hair.
PRP Hair Therapy is a much better alternative to expensive and painful surgery that requires downtime, or a prescription drug regimen with unwanted potential side-effects. It is a non-surgical procedure that is not a pharmaceutical drug. It is a product of the patient's own blood. PRP is very effective for both male and female hair loss.
What to Expect?
Appointment 1: you’ll get a micro liposuction and transfer of stem cells from your own adipose tissue (fat) and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) stem cells into your scalp. This appointment takes about 90 minutes.
Appointment 2: a simple blood draw is followed by PRP injections into the scalp. This appointment is done 4-6 weeks after the first. This appointment takes about 30 minutes.
Appointment 3: same as Appointment 2. The repeated procedure ensures rapid, healthy growth.
PRP Hair Therapy takes approximately 60 minutes to complete. To obtain PRP, a small sample of blood is first drawn from the patient's arm. A local anesthetic is then administered to completely numb the scalp treatment area or a cooling device can be used called a zimmer. The PRP is then injected into very specific areas of the scalp to regrow and regenerate hair follicles and trigger growth of new, thicker, fuller, and natural hair.
Recovery from PRP Hair Therapy is typically very fast and is virtually painless. Mild swelling of the area is occasionally seen in some patients within 4-6 hours after treatment. Avoiding vigorous activity is recommended for 24-48 hours. Patients are able to wash their hair the next day.
New hair growth can be seen as early as 2 months, but is typically evident between 6-9 months and may continue to improve up to a year after treatment. Several treatments may be needed to attain desired results.
