Vitality MediSpa offers a variety of medical peels, also known as chemical peels. Our skilled Master Aestheticians will choose the best option to treat your skin type and concern. Fine lines, wrinkles, spots and scarring will all benefit from a medical peel. We use a variety of peels including lunchtime peels to achieve great cosmetic results, which have no downtime.
We ask that you discontinue the use of retinoic acid products and glycolic acid products for 3 to 4 days before your medical peel. In addition, we can prescribe an antiviral medication which is taken the day of your procedure for deep peels if you are vulnerable to cold sore breakouts.
We often accompany a medical peel with a Botox Cosmetic treatments or filler to reduce fine lines around the forehead, cheek, eye, and lip areas.
The Miami Peel is a proven formula that effectively exfoliates, bleaches and inhibits pigment production. This formula evens skin tone, improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation (dark spots) and treats melasma, sun damage and pigment discoloration of any kind. It will also renew cellular turnover and result in glowing skin.
What to Expect?
There is minimal if any discomfort with this treatment. There can be some minor redness and peeling or flaking of the skin. We recommend emu oil and sunscreen post peel. It is important to stay out of intense sun for at least one week after your treatment. Concealing makeup can be used to minimize redness.
The benefits from medical peeling can be seen for months. Repeat treatments are especially beneficial and the lunch time peels can be done monthly to mimic mother nature's cell turnover and keep your skin glowing.
